The Court Administrator serves as the administrative head of the court system in Houston County with primary responsibility to insure that all elements of the court system function effectively and efficiently.

The Court Administrator is responsible for the financial aspect of local court operations including the collection and receipt of fees, fines, bonds and escrow funds. She also maintains custody of the funds and valuables, invests or distributes funds, and maintains financial records.

The office is responsible for the management of cases within the court system to insure they are expeditiously and efficiently proceeded to disposition, also insuring the security of court records.

The Court Administrator serves as Jury Commissioner and manages the jury process for Houston County.

The Court Administrator is also authorized by law to perform civil marriage ceremonies.
