SUMMARY:County Board of Appeal and Equalization
DESCRIPTION:The County Board of Appeal and Equalization meeting will be conducted both via teleconference/computer meeting and in-person with limited attendance available within social distancing limitations.  The in-person meeting location has been moved to the County Justice Center basement (Emergency Operations Center).   Seating will be limited and all attending are encouraged to maintain social distancing and wear protective face covering or masks. \nPublic participation is available by dialing 312-626-6799 and entering meeting ID: 98051934927 and password: 913575.  Participants may also request the zoom link for computer participation from the Assessor’s office. \nYou may appear before the Boards of Appeal and Equalization in person\, through a letter\, or through a representative authorized by you.  You must have presented your case to the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization BEFORE appealing to the County Board of Appeal and Equalization unless in an “open book” area of the County. \nIf the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization did not resolve your concerns\, you may bring your case to the County Board of Appeal and Equalization.  Please contact the County Assessor’s office (507-725-5801) to get on the agenda or for more information.
